The Children’s Neighborhood provides an emergency shelter for young children, and the group foster homes help with the severe shortage of foster homes in our community. Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast
Since opening its doors to patient care in January 2003, the not-for-profit hospital has grown steadily and continues to fulfill its mission to improve the health of the community at large, with special attention to service of the poor.

Children’s Volunteer Health Network, Inc. is a group of concerned citizens, families and volunteers in Walton and Okaloosa Counties who have come together to address the healthcare crisis of the uninsured and underinsured children in our area.
Emerald Coast Autism Center
The Emerald Coast Autism Center (ECAC) is dedicated to educating and improving the lives of young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders along the Emerald Coast. ECAC was created as a therapy-based, year-round private school that serves the needs of these children and their families.
Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center
Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center provides services to help prevent child abuse; reduce the trauma of sexual and physical abuse; and protect and treat child abuse victims and their families. ECCAC helps restore the lives and futures of abused, neglected and drug endangered children.

Horizons is your local ARC Agency providing care for those with Down Syndrome, Autisim, Cerebral Palsy, and other developmental disabilities. Our mission is to create a path from disability to capability so all people can work, play, learn, achieve personal goals, and live meaningful lives.
Fisher House of the Emerald Coast
Fisher House of the Emerald Coast is located on Eglin Air Force Base in Northwest Florida and provides a “home away from home”so that our military families can be together during treatment for serious illness or physical/occupational therapy.
Habitat For Humanity of Walton County Florida
Habitat For Humanity of Walton County is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization building simple, decent, affordable housing in partnership with people in need. Habitat seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Youth Village
Youth Village, Inc. is a 501(C)3 charitable organization formed in 1999 to create a safe place to provide various educational and recreational services during non-school hours to the children of our community. Thus far, our after-school program and summer camp has served over 500 children.
Pathways for Change
Pathways for Change (PFC) is a jail-based addiction treatment program dedicated to helping inmates realize and overcome the destructive behaviors, attitudes, and habits that prevent them from a life free from crime and incarceration.
The Shelter House
Shelter House was incorporated in 1988 when members of the League of Women Voters, the National Organization of Women, and Business and Professional Women formed a collation to help prevent the continuous abuse of women and children in the community.
